Why Can\’t The Media Find Environmental Experts?

Fox News Sunday invited the head of the American Petroleum Institute, the lobbying arm of Big Oil, to discuss high energy prices.

MSNBC\’s Morning Joe just had on former CEO of General Electric Jack Welch, who deemed more drilling for tiny amounts of oil in environmentally-sensitive areas to be sensible long-term energy policy.

But I have yet to see an energy expert from Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council, Friends of the Earth, Environmental Defense Fund, Grist, or any other environmental organization appear on television to discuss strategies to deal with high energy prices.

Tell the networks that environmental organizations offer insight into our energy problems and should be heard. Click here to contact CNN, NBC/MSNBC, Fox News, ABC, and CBS.

And if you spot an environment expert on TV, let us know in the comments. Maybe you\’ll win a free t-shirt!
